A number of months ago Julep had two mini lipstick sets, Paris and New York, as the beauty product of the month. One of those sets ended up in a mystery box which I ordered, and I really enjoyed them, so I was happy to see Julep bring back a similar product. I also want to take a moment to apologize in advance for all the Julep reviews this month! It was a combination of some great coupon codes, 12 Days of Christmas deals, and an abundance of $15 referral codes. So, please do use my link if you intend on getting a Julep subscription. It keeps this blog with lots of content, and helps add to my makeup stash. You can sign up here!
This season there are two lipstick trios: Dashing and Dancing. Dashing is mainly sheer nude/pinks where as Dancing had some deeper red hues. Since I have more than enough sheer pink-nude lip products to last a life time I thought it would be more fun if I went a bit beyond my usual and ordered the colourful set! I ordered this when it was on sale for $14.99 and then added a $10 polish duo and used the code "tenoff" making my order a great deal!
Pretty in gold.
My very first .gif! Siren, Heartbreaker, Beau
Heartbreaker is a magenta-plum shade that applies a touch streaky to my lips and would likely benefit from a base and a lipliner.
Siren is the closest to a true red of the trio.
Beau applies more pink.

All three lipsticks are a satin-matte finish. Not entirely matte, and not drying! Wear time is decent, and the colour pay off exceeds expectations. I see myself getting the most wear out of Siren. However, Heartbreaker is a welcome addition to my lipstick collection as I actually don't own a shade like it. I see a lot of #boldlipstick selfies in my future...
