Lately I just have summer on the brain, and this latest delivery from Clarins has my heart. Usually I can tell that I am thinking summer when I stop reaching for matte lips and start reaching for lip glosses. This summer collection from Clarins is bronzey ad beautiful. Perfect for summer!
I was sent five items from this collection: a bronzer, an eyeshadow palette, two eyeliners and a lip gloss. The eyeshadow and the bronzer both come in limited edition, tropically inspired, packaging.

Let's start with the three items I know I will get quite a bit of use out of: Instant Light Natural Lip Perfecter in Pink Grapefruit ($20 CAD) and the Waterproof Eye Pencils in Gold and Copper ($27 CAD). Sometimes I feel like I spend so much time posting about new products and then I don't talk much about what I use every day, but in the summer I love a pop of gold or copper under my lower lash line. I am really happy that they are waterproof-- makes them perfect for pool days! Did I mention my new place has a rooftop pool? Yessssssss.
Okay back to the lipgloss. This has a felt nub (similar to Too Faced Liquid Lipstick) and is so easy to apply!
This limited edition palette retails for $45 CAD. It has a matte light taupe, a shimmery gold, a bright orange and a medium brown. These colours don't really speak to me, though I know warm shadows are very trendy right now! I found that the matte light taupe is not very pigmented. In general I feel like orange isn't my colour so I don't think I will get much use out of this palette. I think it would be beautiful on people just a bit darker than me!
Probably the blockbuster of the collection, this massive blush & bronzer (mostly bronzer) compact is a real winner. Retailing for $42 CAD, this compact has a lighter, medium and darker bronzer and a warm bronze-coral "blush". Embossed with sunshine and palms this bronzer screams summer. This buttery, luminous bronzer leaves me feeling so summery and pretty!

Let's give a shoutout to the MVP of this post: the coffee table tray I picked up at Winners! I love it as a background option in additional to my usual marble.
I am really excited about this collection! The bronzer is probably my favourite, but I know I will get the most use out of the eyeliners and lip gloss! Ever since this package arrived the lip gloss has been living in my purse...
