Mid-April I was feeling so spring... and then May came and stole that away from me. Even though the cold has me down (seriously, a jacket and warm scarf and tights to work...) I know that it will soon be warm. And with warm weather I like to leave my mattes (or at least the super drying ones) in the drawer while I embrace gloss. I've found over the last few weeks that as my lip wardrobe transitions so does my day to day makeup, lately I have been reaching for tinted moisturiser (or nothing!), simple brows and a coat of mascara. I've been really loving this fresh faced feel, and these lippies from Lancome fit right in!

As you can probably tell from the swatches, these lippies are light, glossy and fresh. Low maintenance, I wouldn't say that they have a long wear time, but when it comes to these it doesn't really matter. They are so easy to apply- when you screw off the cap you are left with a foam nub drenched in colour that you just run over your lips. Application isn't precise, because with a product this easy going it doesn't need to be.

Personally my favourite of the bunch I have here is Piece of Cake. This mauvey-neutral is the most pigmented of the bunch and is slightly less glossy. It still feels great, and I love how pretty it looks on my lips. I have also been loving Top Gum which is a pretty bubblegum pink-- perfect for spring.

With May moving along and June just around the corner I can't help but look at each product I review and think if it will make the cut for my makeup bag for Europe this summer. I want to really pack light but I would not be surprised if one of these made the cut! I want to be able to create easy, glowey looks that aren't too heavy. We have a fair bit of walking planned and I don't want to be stressing over my makeup in Southern Spain in the middle of July.

Have you had a chance to try these yet? I would LOVE to read your thoughts!

xoxo
