As I have mentioned time and time again, Sephora Favourites are my absolute favourite gift sets to buy at Sephora. They have great value, a mix of full size and deluxe mini sized products from a variety of brands. This set is curated around the colour pink, and contains a mix of different products and brands. The inclusion of a Beauty Blender makes my day, as does the mini Becca highlighter! Keep reading for my full review!
Everything about this set reminds me of the Sephora Favourites Bronze Bares-All (Summer 2015) set. The mini Becca highlighter...the size of the box...the Urban Decay eyeshadow...the colour theme. Which makes me really happy because I loved that set, and I am so happy to have Paint It Pink in my collection. This set is currently out of stock on the Sephora website, however I have seen sets like that pop up in stores a few weeks after they sold out online. Sooooo keep your eyes open! It retailed for $48 CAD/$40 USD. It contains 3 full sized items and 5 deluxe sample sized items.
Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in "Baby Love" (Full Sized)
Baby Love is the perfect polish for the base of a French mani. Pictured is one coat. Two coats creates a milky polish, but is no where near opaque. If you want something sheer and fresh this is a great polish to consider. But look somewhere else for something bright and bold. I think this is a lovely polish to wear to work. Very classic and understated.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (Deluxe Mini)
This is my absolute favourite mascara. I am currently working on a full size mascara, but I have about four of these minis stock piled from various online redemptions and point perks. I love the mini for both ease of use and for travel-- honestly I prefer it to the full size. This mascara lifts and curls my lashes in the most wonderful way. While this product is not new to me I am so delighted to have it included in this set.
Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in "French Kiss" (Deluxe Mini)
"French Kiss" is a beautiful, bright, bold pink. This soft magenta lipstick arrived with some sweat stains (look at the tip). It is a very firm lipstick and a sharp tip-- perfect for precision. I love this as a pink lipstick. One swipe is basically opaque, and lasts for quite some time. I've never owned a Laura Mercier lipstick before so I am thrilled to have this included!
Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss "202 - Sweet Pink" (Deluxe Mini)
This gloss came in the Sephora Favourites Give Me Some Lip box (Fall 2015). The applicator is large and flat, not your typical doe foot! As for the formula it has a very plush texture to it that is very comfortable on the lips. This semi sheer milky baby pink is very flattering on me, and makes me feel pretty. My only complaint about this product is that it will be very difficult to get every last drop out of it just based on the depth of the bottle and the width of the applicator. (Click that link to see a swatch on my lips!)
The Original Beauty Blender (Full Size)
Almost every morning when I get up and do my make-up I use my trusty Beauty Blender. By using their "wet, squeeze, bounce" system my makeup it applied evenly, flawlessly, and smoothly. It is probably the easiest, no fail way to achieve that "airbrushed" look no matter what foundation you are using. I will be stashing this away until my current Beauty Blender reaches the end of its life. Happy to have a back up! PS-- If you aren't already using a Beauty Blender you need to change that. Like right now. Go. I'll wait. Change it. Get it.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfecter in "Pressed Rose Gold" (Deluxe Mini)
This is, no pun intended, the highlight (haha... get it?...) of the set for me. This highlighter is right between Champagne Pop and Opal. A bit warmer, pinker undertones, but still very much in the gold family. It swatches like a dream and lights up my face with a warm glow. It also looks beautiful placed on top of a coral or peachy blush.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Blissful (Deluxe Mini)
Blissful is a warm matte pink coral blush that makes for a beautiful pop of colour on the cheeks. I love that it doesn't come on too strong. I think this will look lovely with a summer tan!
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in "Scratch" (Full Size)
This eyeshadow deceived me. In the pan it appears as more of a frosted pink (not my style) but once applied it has this pinky-silver-champagne hue to it that is actually quite flattering. I like this as a lid shade for me, however I can see it being a lovely highlight for those with darker complexions.
Swatches without flash:
Normally I don't like to do such obvious watermarks, or really watermarks at all, but I have heard of several fellow beauty bloggers having some nasty content theft going on. I work hard to take good photos and swatches :)
Swatches with flash:
As you can see each of these products really does swatch beautifully. While the whole set is a winner in my books, the Becca Rose Gold highlighter and Laura Mercier lipstick are the real gems for me.
