Can we just
dub this year the Year of the Highlight?
The Season of the Strobe? Seriously there are so many beautiful
highlights on the market that I really don’t even know where to start. Recently this Too Faced highlighter landed on
my desk and I couldn’t wait to get it on my face.
This
highlighter has a white gold half and a rosy pink half with an embossed
chandelier. Lately I have been focusing
on the white gold half, but this highlighter is so versatile (I will get into
that in a moment!).
This powder
feels very hard at first swatch, but it picks up well on the brush and applies
to the face like a bendable buttery dream.
I can’t stop checking out the glow on my face every time I pass a mirror
when I am wearing this!
White Gold, Rose, Mixed together
While most highlighters look great under the brow, the white gold colour in this pan looks particularly lovely. You can choose to wear the pink or white gold highlight, blend them together, or even use the pink as a blush topper.
The formula of this powder is more similar to The Balm’s Mary Lou-Manizer than it is to any other powder highlighter I have tried. However, it does not have as much glitter/shimmer. This highlight is very much a beaming glow—and I love it, but it is hard to explain!
Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in "Rosy Glow" is available at Sephora and on Too Faced's website. It retails for $38 CAD and is also available in "Warm Glow"
Have you tried any new (or new to you!) highlighters lately? Any you really recommend?
