As some of you may know, I am in the process of moving. And what better time to clear out my stash than now? This post has some empties and some tosses. Because if you can recall buying a foundation in high school, and you have now graduated University, you probably don't want to put it on your face. Who knew how many old things filter to the bottom of the pile and the back of the drawer?!
In the name of transparency I have tossed many old hair and shower products as well, but I was just so into the tossing that I did not have time to take a photo.
Makeup
My Sonia Kashuk blush was on my 2016 Project Pan so I am pleased that I have met one of my resolutions, but also that for the first time ever I used up every last bit of a blush! I love this blush and am glad to have back-ups. The shimmer glow was from an old Memebox and I just never liked it... so gone. As for Benefit Dandelion Blush, everything about it is beautiful except for the part whereI dropped it a few months ago. Even with the help of the Internet I was unable to get it back to its old self, so I have tossed it and will buy a new one sometime in the Spring. Dandelion and Girl Meets Pearl came in an old 500 point perk from Sephora from when I was in high school. It was among my first high end make-up products so I never used it because it was ~special~ and expensive. It is mostly full and I am throwing it out, but now because it is ~old~. I also bought that Benefit foundation compact back in high school so it has to go as well. I remember really liking it so I don't know why I didn't finish it. I never really got the hang of that Becca product. The Smashbox was purchased back when I lived in Halifax on Spring Garden so aka 2012. Aka toss it now.
I also purchased Dior Lip Maximizer when I lived in Halifax, but it started to smell bleh. I really enjoyed Essence Lash Princess* but I am trying not to bring used mascaras with me on the move. Same goes for Julep Length Matters-- really liked it and I hope Julep keeps it around. My KVD liner is life but it is drying up and I have a back up. It is starting to tug on my eyelid which messes up the line. This mini had a full life xoxox. Again, more Smashbox that I purchased in Halifax. The foundation is empty, the primer packet was nice and the purple thing was junk from a sub box.
Other stuff
Quo is my go-to nail polish remover & Batiste is my go-to dry shampoo. The Bodyshop Tea Tree Oil Toner is ancient and I never found Tea Tree oil was the best on my skin. Too harsh. I love the Avene Thermal Water. I had a skin imperfection and honestly I think this stuff made it go away. A wonderful hydrating mist. Finally the Body Shop nail polish remover does a decent job given that it does nto strip the nail, but I don't love how oily my fingers feel after.
Ole Henriksen is my holy grail night oil. The Nude oil is good too. I like the Julep Konjac Sponge but I think they are basically all the same and this one is expensive. I'm getting tired of writing this empties post haha...
Love the Sephora sheet masks. I wore this "rose" mask while watching The Bachelor. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil has probably expired. But it was a good spot treatment. The Brightening Peel was alright. The Toner Sheets were good to remove swatches with and the other two products were great.
So most of the make-up were tosses, but I felt it was important to get rid of some stuff before creating my new beauty oasis bedroom. Can't wait to share pics with you once it is all set up in a few more weeks!
