i'm feeling twenty-two (happy birthday to me)

Finally.  A chance to play twenty-two by Taylor Swift.  But actually, earlier last month I celebrated my twenty-second birthday (adulthood is sure approaching quickly!).  This year I was genuinely blown away by the generosity of my friends and family and am lucky to say that this post only includes some of the beautiful gifts I was lucky enough to receive.

I am probably the most excited about the Too Faced products I received.  I can't wait to try Boudoir Eyes and Natural Eyes.  I had a Natural Eyes palette back in high school but I actually used it all up, and since then a few of the colours have been rotated in and out.  The blush is also something I am excited to try for a beautiful and beachy glow.

My wonderful boyfriend spoiled me with all sorts of gifts (and all sorts of love) (seriously, he's a keeper) including a Bite Butter Lipstick in Pecan.  Probably one of the most flattering lipsticks I have ever worn.  He also purchased me the MAC mint nail polish and the champagne shimmer eyeliner.

My friend R not only got me a beautiful Josie Maran set that I will be reviewing shortly, but she also got me a local brand's birthday themed bath salts called Birthday Girl Party In The Tub.  It smells beautiful, and I can't wait to give it a try soon!  Speaking of wonderful best friends, and baths, my lifelong friend J was more than generous with a massive tub of LUSH products, that again, I am beyond stoked to review for you.

And finally, gifts from me.  I purchased myself the Hourglass Ambient Light Bronzer in the darker shade (the lighter shade is more of a highlighter!), and the nearly impossible to find Burberry eyeshadow in "Pale Barley".  To get that shadow I actually went into the Ottawa Nordstorm, paid for it there and had it shipped to my house (for free!) from their Calgary location.  Talk about dedication!

I am looking forward to reviewing all of these products for you over the next few weeks!  I still can't get over how kind and generous my loved ones were this year.  I can't wait to repay the favour for them when their special days roll around!
