toronto photo booth review

I knew from the moment we got engaged (okay, like, years before we got engaged) that I wanted a photo booth at our wedding. Having been to countless influencer events, wedding events, and parties with photo booths, I always enjoyed getting silly pictures with friends. I loved the process of grabbing the tacky accessories, and taking a silly photo (or seven). But then the little strip of photos would end up crumpled in my purse at worst, and stuck on my fridge at best.

Feeling like a prince

Once we got engaged I started to dedicate some time to researching out vendors, and stumbled across Portraits on White while on Instagram one night. Instantly I fell in love with their gorgeous, true to life images, and the way that they manage to mix posed and in the moment shots.  Their style manages to make everybody (friends, grandmas, and flower girls!) all look like celebrities. No silly props. No little strips of mini photos. Full size (4x6 or 5x7 depending on your package) printed and digital images for your guests to cherish for years to come.

They're getting married next spring!

We opted for the "Signature Package" which most notably included 4x6 images, and 2 hours of coverage. Other packages have the option of a watermark, but my two cents is that your guests know that they got the photo at your wedding, and they are less likely to display it at home if your initials are creatively entwined in the corner. 2 hours was more than enough time, but of course, I wish we had it all night!

The photographer was great at getting people to pose for "classic" photos, but then also getting silly photos, moving photos, dancing photos, jumping photos, and laughing photos that don't look too forced. Some of my favourite images from our wedding came from this service.

Growing up I always loved my Grandma's rings, and they were part of the inspiration for mine!

My husband was skeptical of "the photo booth" and was not too excited to have the "extra cost" at our wedding. He came around on the big day, after seeing now only how stunning he looked in the images, but also at how much fun our guests (ages 3 to 93) had with it.

Boys just want to have fun too

Rather than give out favours at our wedding, our guests left with a printed image with their friends and family. Everybody came to the wedding dressed up (of course), it was perfect. One of the most rewarding things about hiring Portraits on White was seeing the family photos that resulted from the shoot!

Many of our guests loved that there were no props, and the fact that the "booth" is really a well lit open area with a white backdrop. Weeks later and our guests are still raving about their photos, and the number of updated profile pictures don't lie: our guests loved this, and your will too!

What did your guests love about your wedding? What was something you loved at a wedding you attended?

xoxo
