I'm the girl who has half of her wedding planned since I was 16-- makes sense given that I am also the kind of girl to start a blog devoted to makeup, travel to the other end of the continent for a beauty conference, and take pictures of flowers basically every time I see them. When the team behind the Spring National Bridal show reached out to me to see if I would be interested in working with them to cover their upcoming show I was first flattered, then a tiny bit confused (I'm not engaged!), and then honestly really, really excited. Holts Cafe | Winterlicious 2017

One of my favourite things about Fridays at my office is having the chance to grab lunch with my work friends. We love going to new places (though we may have a bit of a thing for chicken wings...) and trying new things. Winterlicious is one of my favourite times of the year in Toronto-- it gives me the opportunity to try new restaurants, and with the price fix menu it usually forces me to order something a bit outside of my usual comfort zone on the menu.

Staying Cute in Toronto's Winter

Okay, so there are two winters. There is the winter every beauty & fashion blogger dreams of where big fat snowflakes whimsically drift from the sky, where you go skiing and come back to a warm hot chocolate by the fire (#nofilter!), where you have a cute cozy jacket that keeps you warm, and where you can wear cute shoes. And then there is Canadian winter. This winter, that is my every day more or less December through February is one full of slush, where salt wreaks havoc on your boots, and where your jacket is so big that you can hardly hold a purse on your shoulders. Oh, and did I mention that its so cold that your photographer (aka friend) will totally resent you for the toll it takes for her to snap some casual pics of you while her fingers more or less fall off? Yeah, so that’s the winter I am currently dealing with. (Well, not entirely, I write this from 40,000 feet in the air on my way to LA…).

Why We Keep Going Back To Iberostar Varadero

Three years ago my family took our first beachy, all inclusive vacation to Varadero, Cuba. My dad worked with our travel agent and he was confident that he had found the best hotel for our family's needs and was excited to go. Me? I was just looking forward to escaping escaping Canadian winter. Well, we had a great trip. The staff were warm and welcoming, the weather warm and sunny, and the beach flawless and safe. I Am Not Going On A Diet
