Sheet masks have really grown in popularity, largely in thanks to the rise of K-Beauty. I remember the first time at Generation Beauty New York that I was given a a cellulose sheet mask rather than a paper or fabric mask… I was blown away. I loved how much more hydrating and cooling it was. What makes a cellulose mask different is that the sheet part has a gel texture. I find that masks like that really help retain moisture and help de-poof my skin.

I think the coolest thing about these masks is that they even come with little tabs that you can cover your eyes with. I love to cover my eyelids, and lay down—either in a warm bath, or on the couch listening to my favorite pod cast (currently I am loving The Secret Life of Weddings – it is a pod cast that basically shares gossip that happens at weddings hosted by two Toronto wedding photographers. Seriously. Go check it out!).
While I always try to do sheet masks twice a week, its not always possible. I find that so long as I use this once a week that my skin is brighter, firmer, and so much better hydrated for the week ahead. Some of the key ingredients in Mary Kay’s Timewise Repair Lifting Bio-Cellulose masks include oat kernel extract, orchid extract, and sodium hyaluronate which is known for its skin-conditioning benefits.
After I use the sheet mask I like to massage the extra product into my skin, and follow up with eye cream and face cream.
Mary Kay’s Timewise Repair Lifting Bio-Cellulose masks retail for $75 for a pack of four. If using these weekly is out of your budget (I totally understand!) they are also a great way to pep up your skin before a big event (like oh, say, a wedding! – can you tell I have wedding planning on my mind?) or after a particularly tiring week (we’ve all been there).
I am so thrilled to be partnering with Mary Kay not only on this video, but also on an amazing giveaway!
