Vacation Empties

I had an idea when I saw how many products I finished in Cuba that I would bring each empty home and include it in some mega post that I will eventually finish. But then I realised that literally bringing garbage home from my vacation wasn't the best idea. Also writing an "Empties" post with only six items is totally manageable. Keep reading to find out what products were great to have on hand in Cuba, and what exactly I managed to finish off.

Dermalogica After Sun Repair*

This is probably the best after sun product I have ever tried.  It was about half empty when I brought it, and a harsh sunburn on Day 2 of the trip quickly saw to the end of it!  It did a great job of hydrating my burn and keeping my skin soft.  Thankfully that burn turned to a tan! I would repurchase.

I love...Candy Cane Body Wash*

Mmmm smells like pink!  This is a great little body wash that doubles as a bubble bath.  It was a part of a holiday 2015 set that I reviewed.  Perfect size for travel!  I like this product but I have basically zero brand loyalty to body wash.  I like having 5 or 6 to cycle to, but in the future I can see my self picking up something from this line again.

Bioderma Makeup Remover

My go-to make-up remover, I loved having a mini to take along with me.  Way better than lugging the full size around. This stuff removed my mascara and eye liner without a second thought. Forever repurchase.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen

I love that this sunscreen has a solid SPF of 45.  Generally it did a good job of protecting my skin, but getting in and out of the water means I still got a bit of a burn.  I will repurchase in the summer.

L'Oreal Ultra Concentrated Urgent Repair Care

It was only $2.99 at Shoppers so I grabbed it because, hey, why not.  So the interesting thing about this is that you use it after you shampoo and condition.  Focusing on my tips it left my hair softer than usual.  Given all the sand, salt, sun and chlorine of the week I thought my hair could use all the TLC it could get!  I would repurchase.

Old Henriksen Pure Truth Cleansing Cloths 100 Pack

My favourite face cloths, and at 100 for $36 the price point isn't too bad.  I love using this in the morning to freshen my face and to remove any leftovers of my night treatment or cream.  In Cuba these cloths were great to freshen my face after getting out of the salty ocean.  I love how fresh they leave me feeling!  Looking forward to repurchasing.

    1. It was so helpful to have in Cuba-- especially for somebody as pale & prone to burning as me!

And those wipes are my fav. The fact that they come in a 100 pack <3

  2. I've wanted to try the Dermalogica brand for a while now; I actually saw they have a standalone stone at Bayview Village now. Hope you had an amazing time in Cuba!

    1. It is really gentle on the skin overall as a brand. And yes! I got a facial there (post coming soon!) but the store closes this month. It was just for the holidays :(
