Earlier this month I was invited to the Schwarzkopf Gliss Canadian launch in downtown Toronto. Not only did I leave with a pretty side braid and a handmade, framed sketch of myself, but I left with some new products to strengthen my hair that I am excited to be sharing here with you today!
This new launch includes five new lines: Colour Guard, Extra Volume, Ultimate Repair, Ultra+ Moisture and Oil Nutritive. Each line is unique, but is packed full of keratin which does all sorts of good things to help repair your hair. I thought it was pretty cool that we were able to leave with whatever collection was most suited to our needs. Since I don't have colour treated hair, and I don't need more volume those were easy to cross off the list. Down to the remaining three, I felt that the oil may weigh down my hair leaving me with something to repair or something to hydrate. When in doubt I usually go with hydration, but the PR lady suggested Ultimate Repair because she had been loving it, so I figured why not!
I have been using this product trio over the last two of so weeks, and while I can't speak to any long term impact (yet!) I can say that I have really been enjoying the products. A few observations so far: the shampoo has a bit of a pearl quality to it and smells super fruity. The conditioner is thinner than I am use to, but it leaves my hair feeling well hydrated. It does not feel like it weighs down my hair. The leave in conditioner is probably my favourite of the collection though. It can be hard to find a spray leave in with a good nozzle-to-product ratio (if that makes sense?) but this one is SO easy to use, and it has a delightful fruity-but-sweet smell to it.
At the event I left with this picture of my, which was there when I arrived. Seriously had no idea this was being done, and I love it. I suppose between talking about marriage with my boyfriend and attending the National Bridal Show I kind of have weddings on the brain because the first thing I thought when I saw these was how much I would love to give these to my bridesmaids when the time comes! Sadly the designer doesn't take too many custom orders per year, but check her website for some beautiful designs. Designed by Monica at EightySeventhSt, these pictures were probably the highlight of my week. When I move to my new place I am putting this up on my new YouTube filming wall! I also left with the most lovely little side braid designed by a celebrity stylist.
