Too Faced Melted Strawberry Review and Swatch

For me, the metric of a good lipstick is how often you reach for it, no matter how many other options you have.  I actually purchased this while I was in Washington D.C. in February and have not reviewed it until now, despite the fact that I wear it basically weekly.  In short: I love that it is an easy to wear true red.  Want the long story, and swatches?  Keep reading! (Also #sorrynotsorry for sharing red lips two days in a row.  LOVE red lips in the summer :*)
I often catch myself reaching for Melted Strawberry over many of my other higher end products.  Melted Strawberry has become a trusty beauty sidekick, and I think I will be complimenting her with another Melted lipstick soon.  What can I say?  The formula and applicator are spot on.

Too Faced's Melted Lipsticks have a unique felt applicator that evenly distributed the product over the rather large nozzle.  It only takes a gentle squeeze to get enough product.  At first I found this applicator to be difficult and messy to use, but after working with it a few times I was able to figure it out.  Now, I love how effortless it is to use, and how cleanly it distributes the product!

Melted Strawberry is a blue-based true red with a moisturizing, slightly luminous, satin finish.

Too Faced's Melted Lipsticks retail for $25 CAD and come in a whole range of colours from nudes to brights to deep berry shades with both regular and metallic finishes.

I know I've posted about red lips two days in a row, but something about it just feels so summery to me!  (PS-- also wearing Champagne Pop here!)

In the summer i love to wear a white blouse with simple make-up on my face and a nice bright red lip.  Perfect for work, and for dinner and drinks after!

P.S.  This formula?  Not drying at all!  I find it lasts almost all day and fades gently, sidestepping "popsicle" lips.

Normally I prefer orange-based reds, but I find this blue-based red to be very flattering on my hyper pale complexion.  I love the contrast between how bright the lipstick is and how pale my face is, though I prefer to warm it up with some bronzer.  I feel effortless and pretty when I wear this, and it is really hard to quantify that.  I have no regrets to adding this beauty to my collection, after all, a girl can never have too any red lipsticks!

Have you tried Too Faced Melted lipsticks yet?  What do you think?
