A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend Wet N' Wild's event in Toronto. Not only did I get to play with some products while I was there, but I also got sent home with a pretty sweet goodie bag. Remember being a kid and going to birthday parties? And then on the way out as a thank you for coming and having a good time they would give you a bag full of stuff? Well that's what leaving felt, in the best possible way! I've had some time to test out the products, and today I am here with my curated list of favourites.
For those of you who don't know, Wet N' Wild is cruelty free.
Photo Focus Foundation - $5.99
With an impressive selection of 20 shades, and a price point just over $5, you may be wondering, what's the catch? This foundation left my face feeling quite soft. I wouldn't call it full coverage, which is fine, because I don't usually go for full coverage. It is very lightweight, and as you can see in my photo, it photographs very well. I felt that it left my skin a bit oilier than usual, but all things considered this is a fantastic pick from the drugstore.
I wear "Porcelain".
Photo Focus Concealer - $3.99
This concealer claims to be white cast free, and high coverage. From any photos I have taken wearing it I would say that both hold true. I use is mainly under my eyes. It blends well, lays nicely on my skin, and doesn't crease. I love how light weight it is! This product is available in 6 shades.
I wear "Light Ivory"
MegaGlo Highlighting Powder (Limited Edition) - $4.99
The embossing... this highlighter is described as "velvety-smooth" and leaves just the most beautiful glow. Of course you can really focus on building it up for that "Instagram" look, but you can just as easily focus on a light application for a lit-from-within glow. I love the little details in the design. A beautiful highlighter at a beautiful price.
Lash Renegade Mascara - $5.99
First off, how cool is that packaging? Okay now that we have that out of the way... this mascara reminds me of Benefit's They're Real. Its lighter, but the brush is a bit spikier. It is long lasting, and dries down quickly so bonus points for not smudging. I find it lifts the lashes well. I find mascara is such a personal thing and so while this is not the formula and brush I tend to love, I did quite like this mascara and was happy with my lashes.
MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - $4.99
This liquid lipstick goes on almost glossy, but dries down to a long lasting matte pretty quickly. It is very light weight, but unlike most drugstore liquid lipsticks does not suck your lips dry. I actually found this comfortable to wear, when you consider about how comfortable a matte can be. I love how easy this is to apply-- its not messy, and the wand is easy to manipulate. Maybe this sounds oddly detailed, but I love the little dip in the wand... just the right amount of product comes out! Of all the products I was sent to try from their new launch, these are hands down, my favourites!!!
My photo includes Coral Corruption and Video Vixen.
Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner - $2.99
These are a close second for favourites that I was sent-- creamy, long lasting, easy to apply... and who doesn't need more lip liners in this day and age? Bare to Comment is a peachy nude, and Plum Together probably looks the way you imagine it does-- plum. I love that this liner doesn't drag along your lips as you apply it. Really just all around a lovely product.
My photo includes Bare to Comment and Plum Together.
I thought that rather than do swatches I would share me wearing all of the products:
