The Love Lock wall is back at Vaughan Mills just in time for this holiday season! Each lock purchased comes with a special key-psake to remember your special contribution. Last year Love Locks raised over $150,000 for Sick Kids. This year's goal? $160, 000.

Santa's Tiny Big Town

With 100% of the proceeds from the Love Locks going directly to Sick Kids, Vaughan Mills has stepped up their giving game this year: Santa photo proceeds will also be going towards this worthy cause! And yes-- Santa will also be doing pet photos!

You can customize your lock with your name, the name of a loved one, or a message of hope. I saw locks with hearts, locks with "Cure CF" (cystic fibrosis), locks that said "Keep fighting" and locks that said "Be brave, little hero".

I think part of what makes Sick Kids such a great cause to donate to is the simple fact that everybody in the GTA knows a kid who spent some time there. While not getting into the details, one of my little cousins has been a frequent visitor, and I know that my family is always thankful for the good work that the team there does, but also always impressed by the results. Christmas is a time to be thankful for what we have, but also being mindful of giving to those who need our help. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to have a child in the hospital over Christmas, but donations big and small help those kids get the help they need.

My lock is the red lock with a big heart around Sick Kids.

Locks are $15 each or 2 for $25. You can find the Love Lock Wall and Santa's Tiny Big Town at entrance 4A, by the Nike store.

While you are at Vaughan Mills stop by some of my favourite stores: Kate Spade (literally always has a sale!), Home Sense (such a huge location!) and Designer Shoe Wearhouse.

You can read a bit about my experience at the Love Lock wall last year here!

While the Vaughan subway extension will be opening any week now, Vaughan Mills is also running its popular shuttle service from downtown Toronto to the mall, and back. You can get all the details here

Let me know if you decide to stop by the mall! Happy giving!

xoxo

P.S. This makes a successful Day 3 of Blogmas!
