Shopping for guys is literally the worst. Finding a great gift for my mom? Easy. My grandma? Not really all that hard. Me? Well let me pull out my 75 page list. But my boyfriend? My dad? My brother? Can I just get them a gift guide? If you are still on the hunt for the perfect gift for him, keep reading for my top picks! Bonus points because you can get almost everything easily at your local mall!
For When You Netflix And Chill
This summer (yes, I said summer) I was invited to Shoppers Drug Mart holiday launch. We were lucky enough to leave with a generous bag of goodies, including this Sony Extra Bass Water Resistant Bluetooth Wireless Speaker ($69.99). I had the genius idea of wrapping it up for my boyfriend for Christmas. So I get home from the event, leave the bag in the living room, go to the bathroom, and boom, there he is, holding the speaker, and asking if it was for him. He decided it was his early Christmas gift, so in the name of blogging science we have been using it. We like to watch Netflix and movies on his iPad but always find it hard to hear with the tin-like sound of his old device. Since we switched to using this wireless speaker our movie experience has really improved. The sound is much more vivid and deep, and the overall experience watching our shows has greatly improved. Bonus? If you are giving this to your guy, its really a gift to share ;)
To Help Set The Aroma
Saje's Aromaom Diffuser ($89.95) looks sleek on your bedside, and helps set the mood -- relaxing, energizing, whatever you want. We have been loving the addition to our room. The air feels cleaner, and the essential oil blends really add an extra element of luxe. Our room smells like a spa! Bonus? It also works as a humidifier. OTHER BONUS? It can act as a night light! Saje sells many individual and blend sets to enjoy. Our favourite scent is "Sunshine".
A Gift For Him For You
I don't think that my boyfriend would ever go out and buy himself a fragrance. Thankfully the holidays makes for a great chance to buy him the scent that you want him to wear. Georgio Armani's Stronger With You ($90 for 1.7 oz) is a modern masculine scent with spicy top notes like cardamom and pink peppercorn with hints of vanilla. If you are looking for something a bit different, consider Nest's Indigo ($98 for 1.7 oz). This gender neutral scent is warm and aromatic with notes of moroccan tea, Kashmir wood, Cardamom and wild fig. I love the artwork in the bottle!
For Keeping His Hairs In Line
Two more boyfriend approved gifts! Tweezerman's G.E.A.R. collection for men is full of gems, but we love their Facial Grooming Set ($77). Perfect for boyfriends, husbands, dads, grandpas, really, any man growing facial hair! The brush (which comes with a stand!) is great for lathering up shaving cream, while the scissors and tweezers can remove any unwanted hairs. All of this comes together in a grey toiletry bag. My boyfriend has been using a brush to apply his shaving cream for the last three or four months "It accurately and evenly applies the foam and feels nice on my face". Maybe not the most poetic review, but then again he is a lawyer, not a blogger!
For Your (Still A Kid) Brother
At some point my little brother became a 19 year old dude attending university. While a LCBO gift card will always go a long way in his books, he thought this Nike hat ($32) was pretty cool. I don't know if I will ever be a pro at men's fashion, but if its good enough for my brother, its good enough for yours!
My boyfriend is obsessed.... OBSESSED with gummy candies. They are his favourite! While he is usually happy with a bag of Real Fruit gummies, for Christmas I thought he would enjoy something a bit more luxurious. I love the unique flavours and shapes of Squish gummies, and the fact that they will let you sample basically whatever you want. This variety pack comes with six different flavours for $12 including my favourites: the flamingos!
What are you buying the men in your life this year?
Find more ideas for him in my Hillcrest Mall Gift Guide.
All products except for the Squish gummies were sent for review. Opinions are my own!
