There are few brands that immediately conjure a feeling of luxury and sophistication quite like Burberry. From their classic trench coats to their timeless tartan scarf, the brand oozes luxury and style. Their makeup collection is no different.
Lately I have been loving the Burberry Cashmere foundation (I wear shade No 11 "Porcelain"). It is thick and full coverage, but comfortable on the skin. I love applying it with my Real Techniques Beauty Sponge. To add some glow to an otherwise matte foundation I like to wear Burberry's Nude Radiance Fresh Glow No1 primer underneath. To add some extra glam I gently tap it on top of my foundation along the high points of my face, and then blend it in with my beauty sponge.
After applying some bronzer (lately I have been loving Benefit's Hoola) and blush (I have been reaching for Tarte's Exposed on repeat over the last month) I love a light dusting of Burberry's Fresh Glow Highlighter No 4 "Rose Gold". The powder is impressively finely milled, though I will admit that the delicate lace design is almost (almost) too pretty to ruin with a brush.
After applying a base on my eyelids (lately I have been obsessed with Benefit's Airbrush Concealer) I apply Burberry's Eye Colour No 200 "Tea Rose" on my lid and in my crease. I top it off by applying Burberry's Eye Colour Cream No96 "Sheer Gold" on the centre of my eyelids. Finally a coat my my favourite mascara. In the look I have featured I am wearing MAC's Shy Girl on my lips. If you have followed my blog, or know me in real life, you know I hardly leave home without my signature cat's eye. However sometimes (especially for early mornings!) I just don't have the time or patience to do the full process. I like that this look is soft and gentle, and honestly does not require it to look great.
I have been loving this glowing look both for fancy events and for every day at work. I love how pretty and polished it is, and how the gold and the pink really work together on my eyes.
Playing with all of these Burberry cosmetics has me thinking back to my time in London this summer. I would go back in a heartbeat.
I took this while I was in London this summer.
Speaking of London...
With Meghan Markle engaged to the man of my dreams Prince Harry, I can't help but check the mail every day waiting for my invite to the wedding. I mean look, Meghan lived in Toronto while filming suits. I live in Toronto. Ummm, she stars in Suits. I have never really watched the show am dating a lawyer. We have lots in common. Can we take a moment to appreciate her ring?
One thing that really stresses me out about the idea of getting engaged is taking the hand pic. I mean, I can't be the only one who finds her hands totally awkward looking in photos? I mean I try to take a nail swatch and it never turns out. Will I ever be one of those bloggers with the perfect "Mrs." mug holding pic with the ring on display? I think Meghan's hands look great, and even she has been getting a ton of flack online for her hands looking dry and her manicure not being perfect. For the record -- I think both complaints are baseless.

If I did land an invite to the royal wedding, I would totally wear my favourite Eliza J dress. Add a fancy hat and I am golden!
What are your thoughts about the royal engagement? Are you heart broken, or eagerly awaiting your invite?
