Spring is probably my favourite season (just not this spring in Toronto because it has been frigid). Shedding winter coats, flowers blooming, the promise of summer, my birthday, all good things. This love extends to beauty releases. I always love spring collections, they're just so pretty. This spring Lancôme launched a beautiful palette and I am excited to be sharing it with you here today.
Let us begin by taking a moment to enjoy the pretty-in-pink art deco motif the packaging has going on...
Now on to the contents! This palette has six generally pastelly eyeshadows, two matte lip colours and a clear gloss.
The colours in this palette were designed and selected by Lisa Eldridge. They can be blended, worn alone, layered, you name it! I love that the lip colours are matte, but then come with a clear gloss giving you added versatility with your looks.
This palette swatches beautifully. My favourite shadows are the soft pink (far left) and the shimmery taupey-rose right next to it. The blue-silver sparkle shade is also quote nice. As for the lips I prefer the coral shade, but together they make for a lovely ombré!
To create this look I applied the champagne pink on the far left of the palette all over my lids up to the brow bone. I then popped the second shade in my creases, and then the third lilac shadow all over lid. I used the darker grey to create a soft liner.
I did an ombre with the two lip colours (pink on the outside, coral on the inside) and topped it off with the clear gloss.
This was the palette after I used it!
I got a few compliments on this look while I was out shopping today. The lady at Lush even recognized that my earrings match intentionally!
This palette retails for $75 (though at the time of writing it was on sale for $60 on the Lancôme website) and can be purchased at Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart or any Lancôme counter!
Happy Spring!
xoxo
